Two boys, aged 13 and 15, are playing tag. They end up on a footbridge over a highway and start throwing stones at passing cars. The stone goes through the windshield, killing the driver. The rest of the story deals with the investigation, the interrogations, the confession, the trial and its outcome. And last but not least: Our attitude to it all! How do we feel about manslaughter?...committed by a child. When does a child cease to be a child? When is one adult enough to be judged as an adult? The Stones was written by Tom Lycos and Stefo Nantsou from Zeal Theatre in Australia, and premiered in 1996.
