Ringeren i Notre-Dame
Sanzén Produktioner / Akershus Teater
One night, a small deformed child was found on the stone steps of Notre-Dame in Paris. A child no one wanted to have or acknowledge. Twenty years later, the child has become a young man, and his desire to meet the people and the world outside the cathedral is growing stronger and stronger.
The action in Victor Hugo's classic novel "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" from 1831 takes place in and around the mighty Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris in the 15th century. Here we meet Quasimodo - the deformed ringer, Frollo - the cathedral priest, Esmeralda - the beautiful dancing chambermaid and many more. Our version of the story of Quasimodo is a mix of theater and musical, horror and romance, comedy and seriousness. And about exclusion, which is stronger than ever in today's society, and which everyone can relate to.
On stage, you'll meet musician Bo Platzack who, together with actor Anders Sanzén in 25 different roles, takes us into the streets of Paris, underground, up in the church tower and into the dramatic story of Quasimodo.
The performance is co-produced with Akershus teater.
