Revolusjonens løfte – Stemmer fra Palestina
Motforestillinger
The promise of the revolution is about love of life, art and freedom. It is a tribute to those who refuse to be silenced by the occupation's attempts to crush resistance through imprisonment, torture AND KILLING.
The Promise of Revolution tells the story of The Freedom Theater in Jenin on the West Bank and includes testimonies from famous Palestinian artists. It is a powerful depiction of life under occupation, where censorship and injustice are central. At the same time, it is a story of courage, perseverance and the power of art as a tool of resistance.
The Promise of the Revolution is a documentary theatre project by Artists On The Frontline and The Freedom Theatre in Jenin, Palestine by Zoe Delemere Lafferty and Ahmed Tobasi.
The play has been translated into Norwegian by Motvaininger (Vibeke Harper and Marius Kolbenstvedt),
The artwork "Tatreez" (embroidery based on Palestinian pattern tradition) by Vibeke Harper is part of the scenography
