Oil-Dino-Du
Moshtaghi Productions
Enter a magical world where absurd, oily flowers grow. We find ourselves somewhere between fairy tales and the drama that is the reality we live in. Here, the oil acts as a portal between the past and the present. A ghostly legacy to you, from those who have already passed on.
Each performance is centered around an interactive installation where the audience is invited to create an image of soft, magnetic shapes. This landscape becomes the backdrop for the performance. These imaginative figures transform into the protagonists of the story.
The installation Oil-Dino-You is made from recycled elements from the exhibition Sophie's Room, created by Roza and Ronak Moshtaghi in 2024 (MUNCH).

Comments on the workshop:
This will be tried for the first time at Dansens Hus in February. A playful workshop where you create your own magnetic figures, inspired by the shadow-like, floating and swirling shapes in oil spills.** A hand, some hair and two eyes are the starting point for our collaged characters. The same elements are also used to create the oily, monochrome and slightly monstrous figures that are part of the performance Oil-Dino-Du. During the workshop, you use magnetic sheets and scissors to design your own figures, and together we build a new, shared collage on stage. The workshop is suitable for children aged 4–12, but is also fun and engaging for both younger and older participants. The event is free, and places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
