Visual and sensual theater that ranges widely from comic slapstick scenes to poetic storytelling and subtle images. The production is based on the book "Pierrot or Secrets of the Night" by Michel Tournier. Tournier was courageous in his treatment of themes that largely concern children and adults: love, longing, fear and friendship.Pierrot the baker loves the night - and Kolombine. She runs the village laundry and loves the day, the light and the sun. He bakes all night and sleeps during the day. They never meet, even though they are neighbors and were best friends as children. Kolumbine is afraid of the night and of Pierrot's oven. One day, the charming house painter Harlequin comes to the white village with all his colors, jokes and tricks. Here he meets Kolombine, and sweet music ensues....A classic love triangle with lots of humor and many surprises.
