In 1986, eight-year-old Sara and three-year-old Buzhan flee their home in Iraqi Kurdistan. Saddam Hussein has declared Kurdistan a "forbidden area" and even wild animals are shot. The siblings are on the run for 8 years before they are granted asylum in Norway, they grow up in Tønsberg and both train as actors. In Nå løper vi they tell their dramatic story with humor and musicality in this highly topical performance.

Pia Maria Roll has made a name for herself as one of the country's most prominent theater artists and has received several awards for her documentary performances. This is her first performance for a children's audience.

Nu løper vi is co-produced with Brageteatret and Teater Ibsen.
