-All children are our children

How do children living in war play?
Two children meet daily to play by a wall in a war-torn country. They have to flee.

What do daily existential threats and adults' brutal warfare do to a small child? What does the dream of something beautiful look like?

THE WALL is a poetic, powerful and playful performance about children at war and on the run.

The material is based on interviews with terrorism researchers, staff and experts from Doctors Without Borders and Save the Children, and interviews with refugee children:

- Fear was always there. In the air. Everywhere. Always present. You could feel it. Taste it. Breathe it.

- When I talked to my friends about the horrors, we always said that the best thing that could happen was to go to heaven.

- I remember once we were driving in the car and I saw a rocket that lit up the sky in yellow, orange and red, as if the whole sky was glowing. It was just beautiful. At night I was sometimes scared. We slept on the roof of the house because the sky was so beautiful when it exploded. It was dangerous, but beautiful.
