Johan Kaaven was one of the Nordic region's greatest and most famous noaids. He could heal, he could see into the future. He could stop the fast ferry with the power of thought.

We are invited into a small kitchen. In this kitchen there are stories. Stories from the old days, when the storytelling tradition was strong and always included a cup of coffee. Through modern dance and authentic sound recordings from the 50s to the 90s, we get to know Johan Kaaven, and gain an insight into a 10-year-old girl's wonder and search for more than science can explain. Because we must never stop believing in miracles.

"The man who stopped the express train" is a collaboration between Hålogaland Theatre and Simone Grøtte.
