We meet a man who has a big dream. His name is Igor and he dreams of one day being able to float around on the surface of the moon and wave to the earth. The Man and the Moon is a subtle little puppet show. We follow Igor through several attempts as he fights his way closer to his big dream. He tries many unorthodox methods to reach his goal, but one attempt after another fails completely. He doesn't care about gravity or what others may think is impossible. He is convinced that the impossible only becomes impossible when you start to doubt. Only you can make your dream come true, no one else...The performance is about taking care of the dream you have. It's about not giving up in the face of adversity, but continuing to pursue what you believe is important in your life, even if it requires more and perhaps something different from yourself than you expected. The performance is performed with a puppet, without words, but with specially composed music. The performance is produced with support from the Norwegian Culture Fund.
