When you enter the room, you get your own very special space – your own way of experiencing it is important here.

The dancers move around you, the students are rocked, and together we build a labyrinth. Humor and rhythm are important tools. As the space gradually changes, different moods and degrees of closeness arise, which enable different bodily experiences.

The word partner can mean a comrade, a fellow player, someone you share something with. That's also what the performance is about: finding contact, interaction and experiencing how we can be together – in many different ways.

Makker (Partner) is a performance created specifically for young people with functional variations.

The performance is made in collaboration with: Akershus DKS, Kloden Theatre and Haug School and Resource Center
Supported by: Arts Council of Norway – artistic support, Scenekunstbruket , Fund for Performing Artists

10 x 10 m, normal ceiling height or more.

Room or area specifications:
Requires a minimum of 10 x 10 m of free floor space. Blackbox / dance hall / gymnasium is ideal, but other rooms can also work. Must be easy access, no stairs. Does not require glare.

Audience location:
The audience space that the students are assigned is each U-shaped, a giant rocking chair, which is why we only take 7 students at a time. The rocking chair is not flexible, and being an audience member at the performance requires that the student can sit comfortably and safely in it. The students can each bring a companion, who can sit next to the student. The companion is important for the student to get the most out of the situation. They will get the information they need along the way.

Technical equipment (must be rented or brought along):
3 small speakers and 2 vacuum cleaners that we bring ourselves.

Current:
Regular outlet holds.

Other equipment:
The scenography consists of 7 seesaws that we rig in and out of a 19 cubic meter truck. These are rolled in on skateboards.
