“It starts with a cold sweat, little beads that slowly burn down your chest. Then comes the shaking, an uncontrollable shaking as if little lightnings are rushing through your body. Finally, like a wave from the bottom of your stomach and up your throat, comes the nausea. You have no idea where it’s coming from or why it’s there. All you know is that you’re scared.”

Meet Cornelius, who has actually had a pretty good life up until now; he's almost eighteen, goes to high school, lives in a house, plays soccer, gets good grades, parties with friends. When one day he has his first encounter with anxiety, everything is turned upside down. The problems that were previously big now feel like small specks of dust compared to the anxiety he carries in his body. He is torn between the shame of "not deserving to be sick" and the intense fear he still feels.

And on top of it all, he lives in a world where emotions and openness are not discussed. All Cornelius wants is for things to be the same as before, but how will he make that happen?

The theater performance is an adaptation of the youth novel “A Little Scared, Just” by
Alexander Kielland Krag. The performance is a collaboration between Alexander Kielland Krag, Sindre Slorafoss, Den Kulturelle Skolesekken Innlandet and Kloden Theater.
