Amanda can't wait to go back to school after the holidays. Firstly, to see Adam again. But when she's put in charge of a new boy, Lars, who has Down's Syndrome, everything becomes very difficult. Amanda feels pressure from all sides: How good a friend can she be to Lars, who is funny and different? How hard should she work to become popular with the cool kids in her class? And how will she get Adam to notice her?Suddenly, Amanda finds herself caught up in something she doesn't really want to be a part of: She spreads stupid pictures of Lars. In doing so, she lets both him and herself down, and disappoints everyone around her. How will Amanda get back on her feet, make amends and regain respect? It will be a long and humiliating road filled with trials and self-abasement, told with a large dose of humor.

This is a stage production of the critically acclaimed book Lars is LOL by Iben Akerlie. The book won the ARK Children's Book Prize in 2016.
