Panta Rei Danseteater
Petal Stories is a dance performance that contains elements of both theater and dance. It is a humorous and poetic duet in a simple, colorful scenography. The soundtrack is specially composed and consists of music and text fragments from well-known fairy tales and poems; the movements are acrobatic and the choreography storytelling. Flower pots dance, the troll cracks and petals eventually cover the entire stage. Petal Stories toured Lithuanian orphanages in 2002: "Impressive! It was like sitting in a meadow surrounded by murmuring trees and watching the two performers playing this sort of secret game. It looked like two children who had to share with their emotions, inner feelings, thoughts and fantasies. The performance holds your attention until the very end. A very nice, beautiful story told in such a brilliant way."Marius Kaminskas, sponsor of Smiltele Children's Home, LithuaniaPetal Stories toured English schools in 2003:"It is so very good to see a contemporary dance company perform work not usually seen in England at the moment, in terms of the performance quality and communication with the audience -drawing them in not shutting them out. In all my years of lecturing this is the best educational package I have ever seen"Anna Carlisle, freelance lecturer at Laban Centre London and Lewes Tertiary College, England
