Kanada and Tiburon live in the same house because neither of them wants to live alone.

Here they have their habits and routines. They cost, measure and share pleasant moments over a cup of tea.

It's good to live with a friend when you're scared. Canada is scared. Really scared. She has a feeling that something terrible is going to happen soon. A disaster.

Most of us experience being afraid of something. Perhaps it's concrete dangers and threats that frighten us, or maybe it's the feeling that something unpredictable will happen. What does fear do to us? The feeling of fear doesn't have to be rational, but it's still real. Can fear be an instinct, a survival mechanism and an emotional response to a possibly realistic danger?

"Katastrofen" is a warm and humorous performance on a serious theme.

The performance is a collaboration between Gorgon Productions, Barracuda and Petra Productions. Arturo Tovar, Martha Kjørven and Kristin Hestad met through the Hospital Clowns in Oslo. The performance is inspired by the work of the hospital clowns and Tove Jansson's story "Filifjonka who believed in disasters".

The production is supported by the Arts Council Norway, The Fund for Performing Artists, Spenn.no, The Audio Visual Fund and The Fund for Freelancers.
