A music and dance performance for the inside of the body.

INDRE is a powerful and sensual performance that takes the audience on a 45-minute journey through the emotional life – where rhythm, movement and sound make the whole room vibrate. How do emotions feel – really? What happens in the body when music and dance collide?

On stage you will meet dancers Ingvild Marstein Olsen and Liv Edginton, together with musicians Jan Martin Gismervik (drums/electronics) and Guoste Tamulynaite (electronics). Together they create a vibrant and unpredictable interplay – full of contrasts, energy and reverberation.

Comments on the workshop:
In addition to the performance, we want to offer a combined music and dance workshop for young people to reach the target group. The workshop will focus on topics such as exploring rhythm/pulse, collaborative skills and physical listening through sound and movement. We envision this being suitable for a wide range of young people with different experiences – both as an opportunity for young musicians and dancers to work together and build relationships across art forms, and as an introduction for students/young people to encounter dance or music/instruments for the first time. We have extensive teaching experience and can adapt the themes in INDRE to different groups. If separate performances are set up for the target group/The Cultural Backpack, we want to offer a 10–15 minute conversation with the young people afterwards, where we discuss relevant themes in the work and how one can get involved in contemporary dance and music.
