Some years ago, poet and author Fredrik Høyer was challenged by his then employer to run the Oslo Marathon. But what exactly is running? Is it an escape, a striving, a struggle or a relaxation? We are constantly challenged to be more determined and not to give up. It's not always easy to think positively when the wall is rushing towards you as fast as you're moving forward. Maybe running isn't a good picture of life after all. Maybe running is just running.

In a performance inspired by Murakami's book of the same title, Høyer races towards the goal to see what the prize is in the end. In collaboration with director Nils Petter Mørland, he has developed a brand new performance where slam poetry, oral storytelling and Det Andre Teatret's audience-oriented and loose theater expression meet.
