A pair of siblings return to their childhood home in adulthood, where everything is the same, as if time has stood still.They unconsciously take on the roles they had as children.Much has been repressed, they have a strained relationship with their childhood, their parents and each other.By chance they find a maple door that leads them to the other side of the world they grew up in.This is the beginning of the unravelling of the mystery of the missing hamsters, but also of the demystification of parents as something exalted and sacred.The Hamster Project deals with the seven cardinal sins in a humorous way, and is about how children should learn to behave like civilized adults.
