Everyone meets in the gymnasium. The actors "infiltrate" the audience, the actor starts writing on a plastic wall, the dancer starts dancing. The music comes closer, suddenly the wall falls down and everyone goes further into the hall. Once again, plastic is fastened around both spectators and actors. An overhead is lit up in a corner with vivid ink strokes sweeping across the light. The students help to shape the scenographic images with their presence. In the performance, the actors want to tell something about the damage caused by the Gulf War and the sanctions that followed it to countless adults and children in Iraq, about some of the effects of the International Monetary Fund, about changes in legislation for the benefit of the richest. All the texts are from John Pilger's book "The New Rulers of the World". Pilger is a TV journalist who has traveled the world and documented from several wars and crisis areas. Henie-Onstad Art Center arranges a photo exhibition related to his work from January to March 2005. The music is evocative. It ranges from catchy industrial rock/pop with Nine Inch Nails to classical music to soft flamenco music. The performance is engaging with great presence. It allows the spectators to experience fear and uncertainty as they are led around by the performers.

Comments on the workshop:
It is recommended to do some preparatory work, but it is not necessary. The group has some text material for the students and otherwise the teacher can use the book "The New Rulers of the World" by John Pilger.the group can also offer discussion around the theme in Game Over, as well as hold workshops in physical theater and dance. Please contact the group for an appointment.
