With headphones, you are guided into Frida's world, directly to the heart of Mexico, where you are not just a spectator, but an active participant in Frida's colorful life. “Frida” is a tribute to courage, diversity and imagination as a tool to overcome adversity.

This performance by Katma is inspired by the life and art of Frida Kahlo.
Her life is marked by both illness and accidents, but she finds relief in drawing and painting. The performance takes you close to her experiences with bullying, love, accidents and art. You are also invited to participate in the Day of the Dead celebration – if you dare!

As an audience member, you will join Frida in Mexico, where she will draw, train, dance and celebrate with her family. You may also hear some secrets – but remember, you must keep them to yourself! Made for adventurous souls over 10 years old, and adults with a child at heart, “Frida” offers a 45-minute journey you will never forget.

The performance is produced by Katma in collaboration with Hålogaland Teater and Figurteatret in Nordland.

The performance was nominated for Best Direction and Best Children's Performance for the Hedda Prize in 2024.
