Have you ever ridden a dead moose that bursts through a dense spruce forest so that the twigs hit you in the face, the cobwebs stick to your arms and the wind blows your hair straight out? No? I thought so.
I am Frid in the green forest, Frid free as a bird.
My name means fair, beautiful or peaceful. But I'm not fair, I'm ugly, I'm not peace either, I'm discord, noise and life. Will they still join me on a journey? Come, then. Come, come, come. Come, come, come!
"Frid i skogen den grøne" (Peace in the green forest) is a new fairy tale written by the critically acclaimed author Sigmund Løvåsen and is about traveling or escaping from oneself in search of something other than what one knows, in search of community and friendship. The production is a co-production between Margit Myhr, Riksscenen and Sprang -landsdelsscene for dans and had its world premiere at LilleRiksen on October 10, 2021.
