Emilie og Den Umulige Mammaen

"Mom looks like a big yellow cheese. I look like a little white caterpillar. It fits nicely. One long and one short. One thick and one thin. We fit nicely, my mom and I both think so. My mom is very nice. There's just one thing about her; she's not like all other moms."

The worst thing Emilie's mum knows how to do is wash the floor and tidy up. She'd rather play and joke around. But it's not so easy to have a mom that your friends laugh at. One day, when Line and Lise are visiting, Mum acts extra embarrassed. That's when Emilie decides to run away.

The production premiered at Det Åpne Teater in August 1997, and has been performed in theatres, libraries, kindergartens and festivals all over the country, including under the auspices of Riksteatret. A radio theater version of the production has also been made, which is available on CD, published by NRK Aktivum.

The performance is based on Gro Dahle's book of the same name, and is part of NORSK SCENEKUNSTBRUK.
