I am the wind.

I Am the Wind by Jon Fosse is an honest and unglamorous account of depression and suicidal thoughts. In the play, we gain insight into a meeting between a suicide victim, The One, and a relative, The Other.

We meet the characters in a boat on an ocean that is always in danger of blowing up. Surrounded by something bigger than both of them, they sit in the boat with each other as their only anchor, trying to find their way back to how life used to be.

But in the conversations between One and the Other, they lose their grip on what is real, and are trapped in an unclear landscape where past and future, life and death, exist simultaneously.

The performance is supported by Gjøvik Municipality, Innlandet County Municipality, Oslo Theatre Center, FFUK and the Norwegian Directorate of Culture.

Technical equipment (must be rented or brought along):
Must be rented. In terms of lighting, a light table and four stands with a total of eight lamps, either LED or Fresnels, will be needed. In addition, we should ideally have 4-6 LED bars that can be mounted horizontally to create a light horizon at the end of the room. In terms of sound, two mosquito nets, a sound table and two speakers - preferably PA - with accompanying stands will be needed.

Other equipment:
The production provides costumes, set design and the musician's own equipment, which can fit in checked luggage on an airplane or in the regular trunk of a car.
