Do Not Feed the Trolls

Do Not Feed the Trolls is a theater production that deals with the brutality, gloating and hopeless idiocy of modern internet trolls. Inspired by true stories of online harassment, Nordic trolls and with the company's unique style, the Krumple lets the audience experience something that otherwise happens in secret. Balancing between the humorous and the uncomfortable, the company confronts the audience with the question: am I part of this phenomenon?

Do Not Feed the Trolls tells the story of Lisa Holloway, an ordinary girl who ventures onto the internet. Isolated and bored, 14-year-old Lisa discovers the digital frenzy of social media. She quickly becomes a random celebrity in this world, but at the same time she is gradually terrorized by a host of idiotic, wig-clad trolls. The trolls seem determined to destroy her self-confidence, her reputation and threaten Lisa's very existence ...

In the play, which is disguised as a simple book tour, the Krumple takes the audience on a nightmarish journey into a world of internet trolling to give the audience a sense of both discomfort and gloating. The Krumple focuses on how communication between people drastically changes when you have an anonymous mask to hide behind.
