Det var en gang en skog
UTVIK/BARFOD
Isn't it strange to think that all the paper in all the books in the library was once trees? Think about it, they were once a forest.
How does it really affect the earth when we cut down forests and replace them with buildings and factories? And what about all the animals in the forest? Where will they live when all the trees have been turned into apartment blocks?
Now a forest has been resurrected from paper in the library, and in the paper forest two strange creatures appear.
The performance is a site-specific and sensual dance performance for the library room and the youngest children, and unfolds as a visual, tactile and auditory play with the paper material. In addition, the performance has a theme that appeals to the children's adult companions: Will the forest someday be something we can only visit in fairy tales and storybooks?
