Den stygge andungen

A story of adversity, of being different, but also of victory and joy. This is the classic story of the baby swan who grows up in a duck farm. He is misunderstood and mocked because he is different from the others and eventually he runs away. He goes through a lot of pain before he is finally transformed into a beautiful swan that everyone admiresThe fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen is a fantastic story that most people know. In dybwikdans' version, the children meet a dancer and a storyteller/musician, and the performance will invite close interaction between performers and audience. The children will take part in the performance and everyone will take part in a workshop before and afterwards. This performance will not only be observed, but dybwikdans wants the children to experience the story with all their senses. We cannot reveal everything, but we promise many surprises for the children who get to participate in the piece together with the swan. The performance was created for the contemporary dance festival for the youngest in the spring of 2008, initiated by Sandnes kulturhus and RAS.
