Den Lykkelige Prinsen
Sagliocco Ensemble
A golden statue is placed high above the city to be seen, but the statue also sees the suffering of people. A parallel story is told about two strange characters who meet, one lives in a landfill, the other is looking for her plane ticket to Egypt, which she is sure has ended up in the landfill.Based on Oscar Wilde's fairy tale "The Happy Prince". Tears flow from the statue's blue sapphire eyes and awaken the little swallow, which has found shelter at his feet. A lonely swallow that should have left for Egypt a long time ago.Oscar Wilde worships beauty and adores the grotesque. We are fascinated by how he juggles the extreme and conveys subtleties with humor and satire. "The Happy Prince" is the third in a series of Oscar Wilde-inspired productions by Sagliocco Ensemble.concept and idea by Sagliocco Ensemble.supported by Arts Council Norway, ABM-utvikling (Den kulturelle skolesekken), The Audio Visual Fund and The Fund for Performing Artists.
