Cirkus Granados is a poetic jester's show with live music, magic tricks, "animal acts" and the world's largest soap bubbles. In a deeper sense, it is about the relationship between two people and their dependence on each other.Cirkus Granados is a performance about a small traveling circus. With a horse and carriage, they have traveled from town to town for generations and performed all over the world. We meet them on the road between two venues, camping out for the night in the forest. In recent years, things have gone a bit downhill; there are only two artists left. Together, they maintain the circus and the show with the full range of traditions and acts. Late at night, they go through parts of their fantastic show, and we are treated to spectacular acrobatics, dancing, juggling, clowning, magic and world-class animal acts. The two artists depend on each other to maintain their universe. It is not possible alone. In this way, Circus Granados also becomes a story about two people and their shared destiny. In difficult times, they have to make existential choices in their search for artistic expression, meaning and happiness. The production is made in the musical jester tradition with inspiration from the traditional circus, Charlie Chaplin and the Marx Brothers on the one hand, and Felini's Il Clovnes and La Strada on the other. Here, we encounter a visual stage language that ranges from laughter and gags to the magical, poetic and thoughtful.
