Caught in the Middle
Kate Denborough
This is a story about identity and connection to indigenous peoples in Scandinavia and Australia. Cultural gaps and cultural encounters are a recurring theme, based on two population groups on opposite sides of the world that have both experienced colonization and oppression.
The performance is inspired by the life experiences of the Aboriginal actor Heath Bergersen and the Sami artists Elle Sofe Henriksen and Ánne Mággá Wigelius.
The performance combines dance, theater and music performed live.
