Brothers & Sisters
NIE Theater
Katrine is moving to a new place. A place of which there are many. A place where some houses are red and some are white. Katrine didn't have it so good where she lived before, but she hopes that she can get a fresh start when she moves. She makes three new friends straight away. She's invited to a cabin trip. Everything looks good. Everything is very good - until Katrine realizes that the good things in life no longer help with the bad things. Sometimes it only takes one small thing to break everything.
The performance focuses on mental illness in close relationships. Mental illness is a major and unpredictable strain on both the person who is ill and their relatives. Based on documentary material, NIE has created a performance about the human mind, bright spring light, self-awareness and the power of darkness.
The production is made in collaboration with Brageteatret.
