The technical committee that processes applications for production funding consists of three people, and every effort must be made to ensure that the committee has a broad range of expertise and that different parts of the performing arts community are represented. Gender, background and age are also factors in the selection process. The committee has the opportunity to obtain assessments from external expertise. The members of the committee normally serve for 2 years.
The committee processes applications received for new projects, and will also make final decisions in the cases. The Performing Arts Factory's administration acts as secretary to the committee. Applicants may complain about the case processing, but not about the professional artistic assessment on which the committee's decision is based.
