The Hedda Prize is awarded annually for outstanding achievements in Norwegian performing arts. The prize was first awarded in 1998.
The jury that nominates the various categories is a professional jury that in the 2011/2012 season was appointed by the Norwegian Theater Leaders Forum. As of the 2012/2013 season, the jury is appointed by a separate Hedda Committee.
