Gold sack 2008

The Cultural Rucksack prize Gullsekken was awarded during the Bergen International Festival on May 26.

The award for best school went to the five schools in Bamble municipality, and the award for best production went to Mats Grorud for a production in which children get to experience the animated film "Asylum seekers" and how animated films are made. The production is based on the film "Asylum Seekers" with script and direction by Kaja Wright Polmar, animation by Mats Grorud and photography by Janne Karin Hansen.

Gullsekken is The Cultural Rucksack's own prize and is awarded for efforts to disseminate art and culture in schools. Prizes of NOK 100,000 are awarded for best school and best production.

Although the award for best school should formally go to a single school, this year the jury has chosen to name all five schools in Bamble municipality as winners.
