EU project: PUSH
PUSH will stimulate European dialogue around three important themes related to young audiences: identity, migration and (over)protection. These are themes that describe who we are, how we choose to live, what stories we tell each other and how we can honestly but safely explain the realities of life to children.
A two-year project in collaboration with Imaginate (Scotland), The Ark (Ireland), Culturcentruum Hasselt / Krokusfestival (Belgium) and Aaben Dans (Denmark). Through three artistic laboratories, five festival visits, eight network meetings, eight public events, an adapted website and a documentary film, thoughts, ideas and performing arts for children and young people will be developed.

It's thrilling to be on the verge of a 2-year project to explore important ideas with inspiring artists, organisations and young people from Scotland, Belgium, Ireland, Denmark and Norway. As the lead partner for PUSH, we invited some of the most exciting organisations in Europe working for young audiences to be part of this project; five partners who are committed to 'pushing' collective thinking around gender, migration and risk. PUSH-lab 2 (over)protection soon underway
We have closed the application round and selected two artists for the second artist lab. Jarl Flaaten Bjørk and Ida Grimsgaard will explore the risk zones in theater for children and youth. Read more about the lab here : Artist lab about overprotection
