In connection with the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017, the Church Council is announcing 1.5 million in project funding for the development of performing arts productions for children and young people. Scenekunstbruket is the professional and administrative partner, and the funds must be applied for via SPENN.

Briefly about the project:

  • It is desirable that the production reflects and actualizes the themes of the Reformation, where especially grace is central.
  • The Reformation began in October 1517, with Martin Luther's 95 theses against the indulgence trade. This led to extensive changes in church and social life.
  • "Not for sale: People, Creation and Salvation" is the Lutheran World Federation's headline for the anniversary year.
  • The target group is children and young people between the ages of 6 and 18.
  • The production must be adapted for use in churches, and must be available for touring in October/November 2017.
