Nils Berg Cinemascope
The performance opened with them asking us in the audience to turn off our cell phones. Immediately afterwards, they said they were just going to show a video on YouTube. This was the start of a journey through many countries and cultural expressions. All the videos showed something distinctive from these countries, which Nils Berg Cinemascope has interpreted by adding its own music, but also sticking to the theme. This works well and gives the videos a new touch. This is an exciting concept that can easily go wrong, but Nils Berg and co have done it well. There were several videos one after the other, but with their music they had good transitions. They changed the videos a little, including editing and repetitions to emphasize certain effects. Sometimes they stopped the videos to bring out their own music.
They don't communicate much with the audience, but it's still not boring because the music is so varied. The musicians look like they enjoy being on stage and playing music, and they have a friendly tone with each other.
