A story about how humans, animals and nature are inseparably linked.

In Bumblebee we meet a tough and lively Tuva who loves nature and the freedom of the mountains. Through a stinging first encounter with a queen bumblebee, Tuva follows the life cycle of the queen bumblebee through the seasons, passionately narrated by her playful mother, Martha, a bumblebee professor at the University of Oslo.

Bumblebee is a solo performance for children about the fascinating one-year life of Queen Bumblebee. With an expressive and playful stage language that combines storytelling, theater, mime and dance, the performer alternates between three characters; Tuva as an adult, Tuva as a child and Martha, Tuva's mother.

The performance premiered on September 19, 2020 at Bærum Kulturhus.
