With headphones, you'll be guided into Frida's world, directly to the heart of Mexico. Here you are not just a spectator, but an active participant in Frida's life. Through Frida, we celebrate courage, difference and imagination as a tool to overcome adversity.

A tribute to Frida Kahlo

This performance by Katma is inspired by the life and art of Frida Kahlo. As an audience member, you'll join Frida in Mexico, where you'll draw, train, dance and celebrate with her family. You might also hear some secrets - but remember, you have to keep them to yourself!

Frida's world

Frida comes from Mexico and often feels different and alone. Her life is characterized by both illness and accidents, but she finds relief in drawing and painting. The performance takes you close to her experiences with bullying, love, accidents and art. You will also be invited to participate in the Day of the Dead celebrations - if you dare.

It is misleading to write that the children's performance Frida is about the rebellious Mexican painter. Rather, it is experienced as a work with the artist's soul: The performance is interactive, provocative and ritualistic in a way that feels very much at one with her spirit.

So smart and well done that it's a delight.

NRK, Rating 5

The audience showed joy and engagement throughout the performance, and on behalf of everyone in the audience, I therefore say yes to more interactive theater.
