Two Belgian dance performances for Showbox
Futuristic rituals and a hyper-energetic solo: two Belgian dance companies create strong, vivid experiences for young people where they challenge themselves as performers and us in the audience.
A futuristic ritual about body, sound and light
FORCES is a hypnotic and immersive ritual in which three female figures draw us into a vortex of elemental, earthly and technological forces. As cyborg warrior shamans, they summon the invisible and make their bodies carriers of a vital, collective and liberating metamorphosis.
Driven by the irrational, FORCES celebrates the power of life itself. The performance highlights a permeable body in constant transformation – a body in contact with the elements, with chaos, with joy and with community, seeking to reclaim its inner power.
The trio Mannès | Turine | Lemaître has created the performances RITUELS DU DÉSORDRE (2022), FORCES (2019) and ATOMIC 3001 (2016). Together they have developed a common approach to body, sound and light, with the aim of creating strong sensory experiences for the audience.
Toujours de 3⁄4 face! – humour, identity and virtuosity in movement

According to Johnny Cadillac, a former Belgian karate practitioner, the “3/4-face” is the ultimate defensive position! Choreographer and dancer Loraine Dambermont puts this principle to work and shares her self-defense secrets in the form of a live tutorial, as if she were in a real fight.
Toujours de 3⁄4 face! is a 20-minute hyper-energetic solo, presented as a survival guide with flashes of humor.
The performance challenges both the physical and mental virtuosity of the performer, as she pushes the limits of a body in constant tension – caught between a marathon of lightning-fast movements and an extreme precision in her own musicality.
