Griffebo is a sensual and playful theatre experience where imagination, movement and wonder are at the centre. Here, young and old are invited into the secret world of the griffins, a place where anything can happen.

A griffin is a mythical creature, a cross between a lion and an eagle. For thousands of years, the griffin has appeared in myths and stories all over the world, often as a guardian of something precious. For the artists behind the show, a griffin is a celebration of imagination and mystery, symbolizing vigilance, community, strength, beauty and wonder.

In this performance, the audience first gets to meet the griffins and experience their magical universe up close. Then it's the children's turn! With wings and a tail, they themselves become griffin cubs, ready to explore, fly and dance. There is also room for some adults to join in the transformation - here you can let your imagination run wild.

The company Babyopera creates performances for children 0 to 3 years old, and 3 to 6 years old. In these performances, language is not the key to understanding; but rather experiences in their own universes that appeal to all the senses – a series of events with excitement, humor and calm. The company's artistic director is costume designer, set designer and director Christina Lindgren who has helped create seven performances for children zero to three years old. Griffebo is the first for children from three to six years old. Babyopera has presented performances in Norway, and toured in countries such as Rwanda, South Korea, the USA, Poland, Russia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Greece, France and England.

The performance premiered on Kloden theater, August 2026.
