Being a small person in a big world
Two of the performances we have programmed for this year's festival are for the very youngest festival-goers; kindergarten children. You can see both at Sentralen, Thursday November 28.
I am - Unge Viken teater
"I am!" is a playful performance that celebrates identity and self-worth. The performance will encourage the young audience to use their expert skills as playmates, to become people who are all-encompassing! We can take on many different roles and costumes, play at being more than we thought we were and dared to be - while always being ourselves. And we can be all of this without having a luminous core inside us that shows the way. Only by groping, trying, playing can we be ourselves, always.

Microworlds - Zdruhestrany
From the Czech Republic we are visited by the company Zdruhestrany with the performance Microworlds. The performance draws attention to the small things that surround us - details we may often overlook - through subtle movements, body landscapes and microscopic elements. Against the backdrop of a busy and vast world, the audience is invited to appreciate the small, perhaps vulnerable, aspects of life.

Dansens hus presents Soft Machine
In addition, our partner Dansens hus shows the performance Soft Machine with Oslo Koreografisk. The performance is part of Dansens Hus' initiative BIG art for young children and here the audience are guests in a twisted and magnificent TV show. It's the minute before it all collapses, but we're not thinking about that now! What an amazing time to be alive! It's never too early to become a consumer or perhaps be consumed?
