According to former Belgian karate practitioner Johnny Cadillac, the “3/4-face” is the ultimate defensive position. Choreographer and dancer Loraine Dambermont makes the principle her own, sharing her best “self-defense tips” in an intense and humorous live tutorial, as if she were in the middle of the fight herself.

Toujours de 3⁄4 face! is a 20-minute hyper-energetic solo, presented as a survival guide with flashes of humor.

This solo is the first part of the trilogy "Mes années bagarre" - a dance project about survival instinct and the fighting spirit that exists in all of us.

Inspired by the self-defense videos of former Belgian karate practitioner Johnny Cadillac , which have gone viral on social media, the performance is about how the need for security can make us both strong and alert.

Based on Cadillac's famous "3/4 angle - the most effective defensive position" , Loraine Dambermont creates an intense and precise performance where humor and seriousness meet. She uses her body to show both power and vulnerability, and allows the dance to move between control and instinct.

"3/4 Face" is a physical and raw performance about standing up, about self-confidence and self-defense – and about how the struggle for control can also become a form of dance.

The performance challenges both body and mind. Loraine Dambermont pushes the limits of what a body can endure – in a constant tension between explosive energy and extreme precision.
