What has happened in recent decades, where does the performing arts stand today, and where does the path forward lie?

Over the past 20 years, Norwegian performing artists have developed new knowledge about young people, and have had a curiosity about where and how they can meet them. They have, among other things due to political will, funding and DKS (The Cultural Schoolbag), been able to quickly respond to the world around them and create new stories for a new era and in other stage spaces. This has resulted in performing arts that are highly sought after internationally. We take a look at the past, present and future of performing arts for children and young people, about artistic development, challenges and opportunities in the field.
