What is Young Voices
A digital magazine run by Scenekunstbruket where young people between the ages of 13 and 20 can write and have published texts about professional performing arts they experience both at school and on other stages.
Young Voices was established in 2012 and, in addition to an annual editorial session at the Showbox festival, has collaborated with festivals and schools in several places in the country. In 2024, the project received support from the Sparebankstiftelsen DNB for a two-year pilot project with year-round editorial sessions in Greater Oslo, Drammen and Østfold. 12 young people aged 15 to 20 form the editorial sessions and are guided by the critique mentors Anette Therese Pettersen and Per Christian Selmer-Andersen. The hope is that Young Voices can become a national project with editorial sessions throughout the country.
Scenekunstbruket In this project, we collaborate with Østfold International Theatre , Brageteatret and Kloden Theatre to recruit young people, as well as subject content for gatherings.
