Verkligheten är rund – Johanssons pelargoner och dans (SE)

VIRKELIGHETEN ER RUND (REALITY IS ROUND) is based on young children's unique ability for affectionate play and sincere interest in their surroundings. Through movement, sound and meter-long pillow snakes, it explores how we create contact – and how we can meet beyond language. We bounce and rest in an echo, make sounds and roll across a dark sea. The performance is based on the idea that language can never fully capture reality as it actually is – because our concepts are angular, while reality is round .

REALITY IS ROUND is a collaborative dance performance for children between 6 months and 2 years and their adults. Two dancers and a musician invite you into an imaginative space that arouses curiosity and provides space for encounters between all participants. The audience enters the space, and the performers follow, support and build on. Through a listening presence, the performance is shaped in the moment – no experience is the same.
