There is the field.
At home, where I grew up. And peace still exists.
The farm. The barn. The field.
Everything can fall apart at any time.
I have to go home.
I need peace. I need peace. I haven't known peace since I was little.
Since I became a migrant and had no home.
I have to go home. I'm there.
You know that feeling that the world is falling apart around you and not even a great boyfriend can calm your soul and all you need is to crawl into your secret childhood den or drink cocoa in grandma's kitchen and find that place on earth that makes you safe?
Darius has such a place: the old abandoned family farm, and his crazy boyfriend Lucas wants to come along. They just have to pick up the keys first, at Darius's mom and dad's house. There Lucas will meet his in-laws for the first time. Schmack bang, quick in, quick out. And then they will cruise down Eastern Europe to the family farm in Lithuania and live happily ever after.
It should go smoothly...
BLUE MEN takes place over the course of a night full of love, dreams and longing. We meet a lonely man who paints cows, a punching bag that smells like jockstraps, his mother-in-law's fruit wine and a car accident.
.. and those who survive the night have breakfast together.
